Who can book wind tunnel testing here?+

The facility is open to external clients: automotive OEMs, Tier 1/2 suppliers, EV development teams, aerospace, drone and UAS manufacturers, advanced air mobility, motorsport, universities, and research organizations. All bookings are managed by Goken America.

What can be tested?+

Full-size passenger cars, SUVs, and light trucks — plus non-automotive test articles (drones, propellers, antennas, solar structures, building components, and similar). Session types include aeroacoustic testing and wind-only testing, with thermal-acoustic combined testing from 10–50 °C.

How precise is the sound source localization?+

5.0 cm — via 502 external microphones plus 54 interior channels and Aachen binaural heads, with a <57 dBA noise floor at 87 mph.

When do I get my data?+

Live, as a 3D sound map forms during each run — and on an encrypted, passcode-protected drive before you leave. Zero data retained at the facility.

How far ahead should I book?+
